Doubled Shadows: Selected Poems of Ouyang Jianghe
(Zephyr Press, forthcoming in 2011)

Ouyang Jianghe is one of the most highly regarded and most challenging poets writing in China today. His poetry, because of its complexity, has rarely been translated; I have been cooperating closely with Ouyang to create the first authoritative English translation of his works. Doubled Shadows will be available in early 2011.

Witching Vale by Su Wei

Su Wei is a Chinese writer-in-exile who fled to the U.S. after the 1989 Tiananmen massacre. His works of literary fantasy have earned great acclaim in China, and I am working to bring his novel Witching Vale to American readers. Witching Vale is a tale of sexual and supernatural intrigue inspired by Su's experiences being "re-educated" in rural Hainan Island during the Cultural Revolution.

Selected poems of Li He

Li He was a 9th century Chinese poet whose surreal, morbid verse earned him the titles "Ghost Poet" and "Daemonic Genius." My translations are the first artistic, rather than academic, English renditions of this little-known gem of classical Chinese poetry.
